  • 1.  Research Impact: Teaching Oneself

    Posted Feb 26, 2024 08:53 AM

    Hello, everyone.

I would like to teach myself more about measuring research impact. What resources do you recommend?

I am a social sciences librarian, but I work with social work, which has a clinical/health sciences aspect to it. My other disciplines are sociology, psychology, and anthropology.

I work with a lot of doctoral students, who ask questions about publishing and research impact. So, I would like to learn more.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    Sincerely,

    Hi, Margie.

I've been doing research impact work for just a few short years. There's so much to learn! In many ways, I still feel like a beginner. There are a few things that I can share with you that helped me along my journey so far.

Book (there are others...this one gives a great overview)

Everyone, thank you very much for the suggestions on teaching myself more about research impact.
As I told one librarian, there are so many resources, it was tough to know where to begin.

I have attached a document with all of the responses I received. Please feel free to use it for yourself if you wish!

    Sincerely,
