Re-Posting an earlier announcement from the Library Assessment DG Co-Conveners:

Hello again from the Library Assessment DG co-conveners!  After a hiatus while we figured out how best to convene conversations (particularly the "when" and "how"!), we're ready to launch a new series of meet-ups using an ACRL Zoom meeting space.

Please join us Monday, April 22, 2-3 p.m. EST for an assessment community meet-up!  It's springtime and near the end of the academic year.  We invite members of the DG to join us for a spring check in: What have you been working on?  What are you in the middle of?  As you look ahead to next year's goals, what projects are you planning or still pondering?

We look forward to the discussion – and to sharing kudos, encouragement, and ideas.

    Meeting details:

    Date/Time: Monday, 4/22/24, 2-3 p.m. EST

Thanks so much to everyone who joined us today! In case they're of interest to others, we're posting a few links that were shared during today's chat:

A presentation at the 2022 Library Assessment Conference (LAC) about assessment/UX librarian position descriptions: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/17soVTHBuN6gewuikHBC3lzW1tWHc2fEk?usp=sharing

It was mentioned that ACRL updated the Proficiencies for Assessment in Academic Libraries https://www.ala.org/acrl/standards/assessment_proficiencies

Some libraries are using SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in their strategic plans. More info about the intersection between libraries and SDGs from IFLA here: https://www.ifla.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/assets/hq/topics/libraries-development/documents/sdg-storytelling-manual.pdf

There was some discussion on the usability (or lack thereof!) of Primo, and one attendee shared an article she cowrote investigating Primo's usability: https://go.gale.com/ps/i.do?id=GALE%7CA780546852&sid=sitemap&v=2.1&it=r&p=EAIM&sw=w&userGroupName=anon%7E8699f0ca&aty=open-web-entry

    Have a great week!
