Good day! The Nominating Committee of ACRL's Digital Scholarship Section (DSS) invites you to join the leadership of our vibrant and vital section, which provides a forum for ACRL members who explore, adapt, and implement digital scholarship services.
The Nominating Committee is currently accepting nominations (self-nominations are also encouraged) for the following open officer positions:
DSS has been doing amazing work these past few months:
-
building on greater collaboration among DSS members led by an ad-hoc Discussion Group within the section,
-
developing a web presence to enhance communication and exchange with the support of the Outreach, EDI, Membership, and Professional Development Committees, led by DSS Members at Large,
-
initiating a different way to tell our story using a podcast, the Lost in the Stacks radio show produced by Georgia Tech Library, led by the Liaison Committee.
By serving as a section leader, you will be in position to advance the DSS; influence the direction of academic and research librarianship; carry out our commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI); and achieve your professional service goals.
If this interests you, then please provide a brief statement (one paragraph) of interest in the office, including your current role and background in working in digital scholarship, using this Google Form. Nominations and/or requests for more information can be sent to the Chair of Nominating Committee, Max Prud'homme.
