We still have space for more volunteers on the following RUSA History Section committees:
Membership and Communications
The committee manages the section's media outlets (including the website, Connect, social media, and contributions to RUSA Update), promotes the Section's activities and initiatives, and advises on other communication-related issues.
Programming
The committee provides leadership in the coordination of History Section programming, including planning and organizing at least one annual program. This year's program at ALA Annual is entitled, "The African American and Ethnic-American Press: Newspaper Collection Development and Access in the 21st Century". Help us plan our next program! Attendance at ALA is not required to participate on this committee. This is a great service opportunity for those who enjoy creating programs or want to gain programming experience.
Please consider volunteering to join us on these committees.
More information on each committee can be found in the RUSA History Handbook on the HS website.
Email me directly at abinder3@charlotte.edu if you have any questions. You must be a current member of RUSA and RUSA History (or be willing to join) to volunteer. Join RUSA and add RUSA History for free!
Best,
Amanda, Interim Vice-Chair, History Section
