Recent Nursing Accreditation Review at a community college -- ACEN

  • 1.  Recent Nursing Accreditation Review at a community college -- ACEN

    Posted Mar 01, 2023 08:49 AM

    Good morning,

My community college ACEN Nursing Program accreditation review is scheduled for February 2024.  I am interested in hearing from other community colleges that have recently been reviewed (2021-present).

    1. What specific criteria did you use to review your collection?
    2. What did you address in your supporting Library collection document? Are you will to share it with me?
    3. Did you meet with the reviewers during the campus accreditation  visit? What types of questions did the reviewers ask about your library/collection?
    4. Do you maintain a five-year collection limit on your print titles, except for biographical, historical, .... ?  If so, were the reviewers surprised to see fewer titles in the collection?

    Thank you,

    Sandy McCarthy
