    Hello Everyone,

I want to let everyone know that this revised language has been shared with the EDI Committee. They are in support of the changes.

There was a question about the shift in focus for Objective 1. I shared the reasoning - that we felt it was important to have the objective focused on members, in support of furthering the goal language. The new language recognizes that our members make up our association and that they are the ones who need to build this capacity to accomplish the goal. We also recognize that we still have the CORE Commitment, which focuses specifically on the association.

One suggestion from the EDI Committee for our consideration:

Is "enhance" the right verb for Objective 1 or is "grow" a better word? If there is strong support for replaceing "enhance" with "grow", please respond to this discussion thread by November 1 so we know whether or not to update the action before the voting period begins.

    My best,

    Julie
