  • 1.  OSF Preregistration versioning

Has anyone else run into the frustration of OSF not allowing updates to preregistered Protocols. I work primarily with Scoping Reviews and they often want to make updates, but OSF forces them to create a new registration. It just doesn't seem like a practical solution when a research team simply wants to update the eligibility criteria to add a single new exclusion criteria. As far as I'm aware these kinds of protocol updates are pretty common for Scoping Reviews. Does anyone have a better alternative? Either within OSF or for another registry?

    Thanks,

Hi! I thought you could update via the project space, but I haven't done it. See image below with Update option. Also see this help page: https://help.osf.io/article/156-update-your-registration

I've sent quite a few messages to the tech support folks at OSF over the years, and they've been pretty fast in responses. See: https://www.cos.io/contact-us
