Just reminding the Assessment DG community that we're continuing with our new "Third Tuesday Talks" series - our next meet-up will be 3 p.m. ET (noon PT) next Tuesday, July 18!
We had a great, small discussion last time and I think those who came (including co-conveners) learned a thing or two from each other. We'd love to hear what you're working on, what you're not working on (but wish you were), what you wished you knew more about, your pet peeves in this work, the highs, the lows...anything!
Our round-table at ACRL in Pittsburgh was lively and bubbling over with ideas and energy around library assessment and all that it touches. Let's see if we can use these monthly gatherings to keep the energy going. Sadly, conferences like LAC (the Library Assessment Conference) and other opportunities to exchange ideas with colleagues doing this work happen too seldom. Let's keep the conversations going!
Original invitation (June '23):
Hi, Assessment Discussion Group members - happy June from your Assessment DG co-conveners!
We're trying something new this summer: monthly virtual meet-ups. We're calling them Third Tuesday Talks (TTTs), as they will take place the third Tuesday of every month at 3 p.m. ET (12pm PT). These will be an opportunity to share assessment projects we're working on, ask questions, troubleshoot issues, find collaborators, and make connections with others doing or interested in assessment.
The first will take place Tuesday, June 20th at 3:00 p.m. ET. (Then on the following dates: Tues. July 18, Tues. Aug. 15). Mark your calendars and join us when you can!
Like the good assessment folks we are, we'll seek feedback about how these went at the end of the summer and adjust the schedule, etc., as needed. And in the meantime, our Connect group is available 24/7 for crowdsourcing questions and discussion.
We hope to see you next Tuesday or later this summer!
Susanna, Anita, and Megan
