I’m excited to share that we’ve developed a LinkedIn Group for librarians in our sector!

The LinkedIn group shares the same name as our ALA Interest Group - Librarianship in For-Profit Educational Institutions Interest Group.  We look forward to utilizing this group in LinkedIn to:

    • Provide a way for members to connect with one another in a commonly-used medium

    • Share discussion (the list-serv is GREAT for this), but LinkedIn provides us the opportunity to preserve the discussion.  Additionally, you can moderate how many messages you receive to your inbox (vs. reading in the group site).

    • Share job posts

    • Share announcements

As we grow, we can develop sub-groups based on interest or need, which will be great as we expand.

    To join the group, visit:

    https://www.linkedin.com/groups?home=&gid=6726675&trk=anet_ug_hm

Or, visit LinkedIn and search for: Librarianship in For-Profit Educational Institutions Interest Group

We are going to (initially) moderate requests to join.  However, once you are a member, you can invite other individuals to join.  We hope that this provides us with a great opportunity to broaden our participation in the interest group.

    Volunteers Needed!!

We are looking for individuals to help us:

    -          Develop our logo and banner (which could serve as the logo/banner for the interest group)

    -          Serve as a group moderator (reviewing discussions and requests to join)
