link-filled article about the purpose of meditation

    Hello Everyone,

I just finished an article called "Meditation is more than either stress relief or enlightenment" with so many academic connections and useful links to follow, I'm sharing it in case others are interested:  https://www.vox.com/future-perfect/23836358/meditation-mindfulness-enlightenment-science-contemplative-buddhism-spirituality?utm_source=pocket-newtab-en-us
Exploring the wider range of meditation is no longer reserved for the monasteries. The new science of meditation is just getting started.
As a humanities philosopher, the one group I find missing from all of the academic partnerships mentioned in the article is...humanities philosophers.  Go figure.

As for librarians, we're left out of everywhere, so I rarely expect to find us anywhere.

    Anyway, enjoy or ignore.

    Thanks,

    Wendy
