ACRL GRC Members,
Just wanted to reach out with an update on the status of the ACRL Legislative Agenda 2023-24. I shared our document with Kara Malenfant, who was able to pass it along for review/comments from ALA's Public Policy and Advocacy Office. A few minor edits were suggested. I made those changes, pushed the document through for final copyediting, and then finalized the document. I completed the Board Action Form, and passed everything along to Allison Payne (c/o Kara), who is the ACRL Program Manager for Strategic Initiatives. I have updated our Google Doc to the finalized version of the Agenda, and set the document to read-only.
The only thing left is to complete the Year End Report, which I will do in the coming days and share with the committee's incoming chair (Hallie Pritchett). She will compile that with her proposed Committee Work Plan for the coming year, and that too will be passed along to Allison Payne (as well as uploaded to ACRL Connect).
This will likely be my final message to the committee as this year's chair, so I want to thank everyone again for their hard work. This process went very smoothly, and that is thanks to everyone's thoughtful and timely efforts.
