  • 1.  Journals that Publish Protocols

    Posted Oct 06, 2021 11:45 AM

    Hi everyone,

Do you have any suggestions for health sciences journals (especially rehabilitation journals) that publish review protocols?

I'm working with a couple of occupational therapy faculty on a scoping review and we are having  heck of a time finding a journal to publish it in. It's already registered on OSF, but they would like to try to turn it into a peer-reviewed pub, as well.

    Thanks!

    Amanda

Hi Amanda, maybe these citations will help give you an idea about which medical journals publish  review frameworks. These frameworks are guidelines for conducting or assessing the literature search for a reviw. Maybe you are after protocols for the entire review process.

Hi Scott! Yes, this is a protocol that the review team wrote documenting their plans for the review process. But, wow! This is a great list of reporting guidelines, frameworks, etc. I had some of these saved but not all. Thank you very much!

I understand now what you were looking for, Amanda. Good to hear that the list I sent is somewhat helpful.   I have attached the list as a RIS file for Zotero, etc. Looks like the upload may have not worked as I get a message ALAConnect does not support RIS files. Librarians need to be able to exchange RIS files.

If you can not find a journal to publish your protocol member you can at least have it posted in the Cochrane library.
