    Listen and Discuss Series:  Studying the Graduate Student Liminal Space to Ease the Transition & Journey


    Join us for the third installment of our virtual Listen and Discuss Series, brought to you by the ACRL Academic Library Services for Graduate Students Interest Group, featuring the research of Donna Harp Ziegenfuss, Associate Librarian for Faculty Services and College of Education Liaison at the University of Utah.


    Description:  Graduate students can become overwhelmed in the liminal space as they transition from being a student to an emerging scholar. According to feedback Ziegenfuss has collected from graduate students as part of an ongoing research study, they require support beyond just learning how to access library resources. Join us in a discussion about how to widen the lens for graduate student support that goes beyond traditional library tools and strategies and helps graduate students move from confusion to confidence. 


    Time will be included for audience questions. All are welcome - membership in the Interest Group (or other ALA groups) is not required.


    The virtual panel will be presented on Tuesday, October 29, 11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. (PST)/12:00 - 1:00 p.m. (MST)/1:00 - 2:00 p.m. (CST)/2:00 - 3:00 p.m. (EST) via ZOOM.
