The Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine opens its 2nd campus (20 minutes from the Stratford NJ campus) in Sewell NJ, and 70+ additional medical students will use a problem-based learning curriculum for the first two years of their medical education. RowanSOM is the #2 School of Osteopathic Medicine. We have a very large commitment to a comprehensive digital library and institutional repository, leveraging the combined collection funds of all Rowan campuses. Recently Virtual Health Systems provided SOM with an $85 million contribution to the endowment to found a medical college. Osteopathic medical schools just became full members of AAHSL, and our residency program uses ACGME competencies.
The Librarian 2 or 3: Health Sciences Problem-Based Learning (PBL) & Data position is the primary library contact for the problem-based learning (PBL) SOM student and instructor cohort at the Sewell location, and the incumbent's specialized expertise in health sciences data management and visualization will serve students and faculty in both Sewell and Stratford. Health sciences data management skills include creating, distributing, publishing, and citing aggregations of data as part of research and scholarship. Data visualization skills involve placing data in a visual context to facilitate understanding, as well as exploring patterns, trends and correlations to improve recognition.
Salary Range: $ 67,596.37 - $ 99,398.98
