    Greetings,  I apologize for cross posting. 


    My name is Louise L. Lowe; and I am the student success coordinator at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. 


    You are invited to participate in a research study about post-pandemic perceptions of those seeking academic librarian jobs in academic libraries and perceptions of academic libraries recruiting academic librarians being conducted by co-investigators Jenna Eastwood, Louise L Lowe, and Christopher Stewart from Ottenheimer Library at University of Arkansas Little Rock. 

     

    For Job Seekers


    If you sought an academic librarian position in an academic library located in the United States from 2020 through August 31, 2023 or you will seek an academic librarian position from September 1, 2023 though August , 31, 2024, you may be eligible to participate in this study by completing an online survey for Academic Librarian Job Seekers. This survey will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete. To learn more about this study and your rights as a potential participant, please continue and review the consent.


    For Job Recruiters

    If you you have overall administrative responsibility for job roles, job descriptions, recruitment, hiring of academic librarians at an academic library located in the Southeastern United States from 2020 through August 31, 2023, you may be eligible to participate in this study by completing an online survey for Academic Librarian Job Recruiters. The survey will approximately take 15 to 20 minutes to complete. To learn more about this study and your rights as a potential participant, please continue and review the consent.


    A consent form gives you information about the study so you can make an informed decision about participation in this research. You do not have to be in this study if you do not want to. There are no penalties or consequences of any kind if you decide that you do not want to participate.  


    Please feel free to pass this information along to others who may be qualified and interested.


    This study has been reviewed and approved by UA Little Rock's Institutional Review Board (IRB). The IRB has determined that this study meets the ethical obligations required by federal law and University policies.
