Library Service Manager-Web Applications

Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful applicant must have experience managing a complex website, web design application and graphic design, preferably in an academic setting.
Serves as the expert with web content management systems, especially OU Campus
Troubleshoots networking issues, including the pc and printer in the computer lab Manages content and interfaces with other applications, including the online catalog (Sierra, discover layer (EBSCO EDS), and Springshare Provides software support for Microsoft Suite and Adobe Pro
Monitors professional trends via best practices and makes recommendations.
Consults with library faculty and staff regarding the design initiatives, and the coordination
Performs other related duties
Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree in Educational Technology, Web Design, Interactive Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field of study, with three years of experience as a web designer or website developer. Must have experience with user experience design and UX deliverables, such as site maps, site prototypes, and wire frames, along with Microsoft Suites and Adobe Pro.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage complex website and web-based applications. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with customer service skills that will work collaboratively with faculty, staff and students to create and revise web pages.
