Save the Date: ACRL Image Resources Interest Group Summer Virtual Meeting
The ACRL Image Resources Interest Group (IRIG) provides a forum for ongoing discussion of the unique issues presented by the development and support of interdisciplinary image resources in academic libraries. Our annual summer meeting will be held virtually on Thursday, June 17, at 2 - 3:15 pm CT via Zoom. All are welcome to attend and participate!

    Meeting Agenda & Registration Info
To register for our virtual summer meeting, please visit https://go.uncg.edu/irig-reg. Our tentative agenda, which includes lightning talks, an update on a Visual Literacy Framework document from the current Visual Literacy Task Force, and a discussion of plans for IRIG in the 2021-22 year, is available on our website.

    Call for Lightning Talk Proposals
We are seeking proposals for informal lightning talks for our Summer Virtual Meeting. Lightning talks are limited to 10 minutes (plus time for Q&A) and are open to all aspects of working with image resources, especially those with a focus on visual literacy or open-access image collections. Presentations on projects in the beginning stages or on research in progress are welcome. Please send a short description of your talk, along with your name, title, and affiliation to acrlirig@gmail.com by end of day June 10, 2021. We will make notifications about acceptances by Friday, June 11.

For any questions about this upcoming meeting, please contact IRIG Convener Maggie Murphy at mmurphy@uncg.edu

I acknowledge that this land has long served as the site of meeting and exchange amongst a number of Indigenous peoples, specifically the Keyauwee and Saura. (Why are land acknowledgments important?)
