Are you interested in supporting Black LIS students and early career library workers? If so, join WOC+Lib and LIS researchers Tatiana Bryant (Director of Teaching, Learning, and Research Services at Barnard College), Kristyn Caragher (Assistant Professor and STEM Librarian, University of Illinois-Chicago), Brittani Sterling (Social Sciences Librarian, UNLV) and Brittany Paloma Fielder (Teaching and Learning Librarian, UNLV) for an invigorating community discussion series where they will discuss their recent scholarship on racial equity in libraries and the retention of academic librarians of color and share more about our lived experiences as Black, Indigenous, and people of color in LIS. The first session will be a Black-only space, the second will be a BIPOC-only space, and the third session will be open to all library workers and students. All donations will go to current Black LIS students and early career library workers.

    Participants will:

    • Leave with an understanding of issues facing BIPOC library employees across the profession

    • Have the opportunity to network and build community with library workers committed to making the profession equitable

Tiered donations - $0 for unemployed LIS workers and/or students

Open to All session donation $10

    BIPOC-only session donation $5

    Black-only session donation $0

*New England Archivists BIPOC members can join any session for free.
