Passing this along on behalf of a colleague (and former resident Orolando Duffus!).

    Dear colleagues,

If you are a librarian of color, please consider participating in an anonymous survey of racial/ethnic minority librarians' mentor and mentee experience <https://forms.gle/5qWGGNEfeEnfwqVQA>. The ten-to-twelve-minute survey consists of a few questions about the mentoring support you have or have not received as well as the mentoring you have provided to other librarians of color. The goal of the study is to better understand the mentor and mentee experiences and support needs of minority academic librarians at different stages of their careers. The aggregated data and themes that emerge from the survey results will be incorporated into a conference presentation.

This research was approved by the Institutional Review Board at Lafayette College as a study: IRBAY2223-21. The researchers are:

    • Lijuan Xu, Associate Director of Research and Instructional Services, Lafayette College, xul@lafayette.edu (Principal Investigator)

    • Orolando Duffus, Collection Strategies Librarian, University of Houston (Co-PI)

    • Criss Guy, Student Success and Engagement Librarian, UNC Chapel Hill (Co-PI)

    • Rebecca Hankins, Professor/Librarian/Archivist, Texas A&M University (Co-PI)

If you have any questions about the study, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your time and participation.

    Sincerely,

    Orolando Duffus
