Hello everyone!
As the current convenor for this group, I feel like I haven't been as present as I should have been for the past several months. I am working to change that.
This morning, I looked at some disability awareness calendars and learned that February is Low Vision Awareness Month. This got me thinking about the different ways that people find and access contents, from using Zoom features to screen readers and read-aloud functions build into some platforms. In our accessibility testing, we look for issues such as missing field labels, unhelpful link text, missing image alt text, and broken ARIA labels. What specific things to others check on to support low vision and blind patrons?
Thanks!
Karen
