    Hi everyone,
*Corrected -- the time for the meet up in February in this post-- thank you for letting me know! The event page has the correct and full info.
Heather and I are looking forward to our February AI DG Meetup, 3:00 PM EST, Tuesday, February 25, 2025 and to seeing all of you! The meeting details and Zoom link are posted in the February AI DG Meetup Event page that Heather created and that you hopefully received as an email.
At our very first meeting, AI DG members shared several project ideas for us to consider working on together as a community. Ahead of our February meetup, we'd like to gauge your interest in ideas shared and gather new ideas. Then, at our February Meetup, we'll share results from the brief interest and ideas poll and start putting some ideas into action in group breakouts!

    Hi everyone,

Just a quick reply to my original post, "Feb AI DG Meetup -- Putting Ideas Into Action! *Super Short Poll for DG Project Interests* and Agenda."

If you haven't had a chance to complete the Super Short Poll for AI DG member Project Interests, let us know what you'd like to work on: forms.office.com/r/Kbyd5BSty1
And, ICYMI, I edited my original post to *correct* the time for our February AI DG Meet Up. The Date, Time, etc. are correct on the Event page and from that page, the meet up will be Feb 25, 2025 from 03:00 PM (EST).

We'll share a project groups update and last reminder next week, ahead of the meet up. :-)

Good afternoon, fellow AI Discussion Group colleagues!

Based on Project Interest survey results, here's an agenda reminder and the starting project group list with some additional possible groups or key aspects to have in mind for all groups:

Agenda -- February AI DG Meetup

    • [5 min] 'Welcome' and brief updates
    • [5 min] Project Group Breakouts process
      • Check in on groups for today's meeting
    • [30 min] Project Group Breakouts
      • Identify one or more note-takers
      • Discuss approaches to the project
      • Is there one or more short-term action item or To Do?
      • How will the group follow up with each other and share opportunities to join in, updates, project outputs with the AI Discussion Group?
    • [10 min] Report Back
    • [5 min] Wrap up

Starting Project Groups (based on interest in survey)

    • AI Tools (and use cases in our / others Libraries)
    • AI and ACRL Framework
    • Ongoing Resources list
    • Criteria for evaluating AI Tools (standalone or within existing platforms/tools)
    • Social Intelligence and AI (and use cases / examples of application)

To check in on at the start of the meeting: Additional Ideas Suggested

If not Project Groups on their own at the meeting, they are important areas for each group to include:

    • Accessibility - suggested in the context of 'AI as a game changer for Accessibility' and interest in investigating this ; also great to include aspects of Accessibility in project group topics: Tools, Use cases, Resources, Criteria for evaluating, Social Intelligence and AI (how accessible and how people are using AI to improve accessibility of resources, etc.)
    • Algorithmic Bias - suggested in the context of presentations or projects on this topic ; also great to include aspects of Algorithmic Bias in project group topics: Tools, Use cases, Resources, Criteria for evaluating, Social Intelligence and AI (how Algorithmic Bias is showing up and how people are seeing Algorithmic Bias in use cases etc.)
    • Just in the last day or two, one more topic came up that may also be relevant to all/any areas or its own group as well: ways that people are acknowledging the use of AI in their work. From citations, to source text for images, etc.

Looking forward to seeing you all!

    ~Ginny and Heather
