COURSE - Critical Pedagogies: An introduction through information literacy
April 24 - 28
Speaker
: Kelly McElroy. Oregon State University. Visitor Research at IIBI - UNAM
Presentation:
Critical pedagogies draw on critical theory, radical social movements, and other traditions to name and challenge oppression. Critical pedagogies can help teachers and learners work together to move toward liberation and justice in the classroom and beyond. In this course, participants will explore key concepts and concrete approaches to applying critical pedagogy in their work or studies. We will use examples from the library, information, and other fields.
