Dear Chapter Leaders, 

I hope you are having a nice summer!

I am writing to let you know that Chapter budgets for the 2023 Fiscal Year will be available later this fall. However, I wanted to let you know that the ACRL Board and ACRL Budget and Finance Committee are considering a change to the current funding model outlined in the ACRL Guide to Policies & Procedures, Chapter 5.4 Funding Programs for Chapters. The proposed change would provide equal funding to all chapters of $100 per year and would no longer be based on ACRL state membership numbers.  

Please also be aware that eligibility to receive ACRL funding is based on the submission of an annual report (currently known as the ACRL Strategic Plan Implementation Report).  I call your attention to Section 5.6.1 Annual Report for Chapter Activities in the ACRL Guide to Policies and Procedures which  states that "funding will be withheld from any chapter that fails to submit an annual report for two consecutive years and such funding may be reinstated once a chapter has submitted an annual report."

We will update everyone after the ACRL Board and ACRL Budget & Finance Committee meetings later this summer.
