    2023 Connecticut Academic Libraries Conference

    (Formerly Connecticut Information Literacy Conference)

    Save the Date/Call for Proposals

'Renew, Refresh, Rethink: Inspiring Lasting Change in Academic Libraries. '

We are excited to announce that we are now accepting proposals for the 13th Annual Connecticut Academic Libraries Conference, formerly titled the Connecticut Information Literacy Conference, which will be held virtually on Friday, June 9, 2023. We are expanding our scope to include all under the academic library umbrella. The conference will be free for presenters to attend and $10 for attendees.

We invite you and your colleagues to submit proposals for breakout workshops (45 - 50 minutes long with a 10 - 15 minute Q&A session). Team presenters, such as faculty, students, and librarians from all types of libraries, are highly encouraged to submit a proposal. We also encourage proposals from out-of-state colleagues.

The theme of this year's conference is: Renew, Refresh, Rethink: Inspiring Lasting Change in Academic Libraries. Institutions of higher education throughout the country may be considering their institutional environments, processes and practices with regard to rebranding, and innovation. Ideas include what's happening now that is new and exciting in your libraries, environmental initiatives, and how to market your institutions to adapt to forward-thinking trends across campuses and institutions. How do we transform our academic library's spaces and practices to build upon our institutions' drive to keep library spaces fresh and relevant? This theme welcomes presentations that address new and exciting initiatives in libraries such as recycling, best marketing and promotional practices, revamping and refreshing your library space/information literacy sessions for the best user experience as it relates to academic libraries, etc,.

For consideration, please submit your proposal with this form by March 30, 2023. Accepted proposals will be notified on or about April 15, 2023. Questions regarding proposals should be directed to Pamela Dolin at pamela.r.dolin@uscga.edu.
