As we approach local, state, and national elections, ALA is calling on everyone in the library community to pledge that they will be registered, informed and ready to vote in 2024 elections. ALA's Reader. Voter. Ready. campaign is rolling out resources to support libraries in that vital role. Partnering with the League of Women Voters, ALA released a jointly produced toolkit for libraries, along with social media graphics, and held a joint webinar on May 29 (recording available here) highlighting local collaborative efforts and introducing the toolkit. ALA will add new resources to the Reader. Voter. Ready. webpage throughout the 2024 election cycle.
If you are headed to the ALA Annual Conference, learn more about the campaign at the Ready. Set. VOTE. session, attend the Voters Unite Against Book Bans rally and visit the Reader. Voter. Ready. booth in the ALA Connect Lounge space.
