The Institute for Information Literacy at Purdue invites nominations for its annual information literacy research award. This award celebrates and highlights the positive difference information literacy researchers make in addressing the significant, unwieldy information challenges our society faces today, ranging from misinformation campaigns designed to confuse and disempower, to a lack of access to credible information that can have life-altering, disproportionate effects on different communities.
Purpose:
IILP recognizes excellence in this crucial research area with an annual award for the best publication for research that examines complex information challenges with the aim of further developing or creating new information literacy models or solutions.
Award details:
The award recipient will receive a $1000 stipend to extend their research and be featured as an invited speaker at IILP's ID:EALS symposium (Summer 2025).
Eligibility:
Researchers who published (or will publish) research during 2024 proposing ways information literacy can help us navigate current information challenges are eligible for nomination.
