Then consider joining the ACRL Arts Section leadership team! We are seeking candidates for:

Vice-Chair (3-year term)

The Vice-Chair serves successively for one year each as Vice-Chair, Chair, and Immediate Past Chair. They assist in advancing the goals of the section and make appointments to all other section committees for terms beginning when their term as chair begins.

Secretary (2-year term)
-
The secretary is responsible for maintaining section records, recording minutes of all section and executive committee business meetings, and collecting and distributing all archival documents to the ALA Archives as appropriate.
The ACRL Arts Nominating committee will evaluate all submissions and select no more than two nominees per role to stand for election in Spring 2027 (note that not all interested applicants may be included on the ballot). Those who are elected will begin their terms in July 2027.
If you are selected, you must be a current ALA/ACRL/Art Section member while standing as a nominee and (if elected) while serving your term. The Arts Section operates virtually with no in-person meetings at conferences required for officers or members.
