I don't know if this is within the scope of this Discussion Group's area, but I keep seeing these threads about various state legislatures' interactions with ALA and requiring an ALA-accredited credential for librarian positions. I'm wondering about the impact this has on the public's perceptions of the field, and I'm wondering how library workers can continue advocating for and demonstrating the value of our work in these times.
