    Dear all,

We are pleased to offer a virtual, hands-on training over two half-days on R, RStudio and litsearchr. This free training will be held September 18-19, 2023 from 9am-12:30 pm EDT / 1pm-4:30pm BST (UTC +1). Applications are now open and will be open until August 21st. Successful applicants will be notified by September 4th. Space is limited and applications will be screened and prioritized based on:

    • demonstration of need

    • existing knowledge gap

    • potential impact of training

This training is designed to introduce librarians and information specialists to the R programming language using RStudio, with a particular focus on using R for evidence synthesis. Thus, the audience for this training is information specialists and librarians actively involved in supporting or conducting evidence synthesis. litsearchr is an R package designed to assist in term harvesting and search strategy development. You will gain hands-on experience with these tools, providing a foundation for building your skills, automating aspects of search strategy development and generating reproducible code for evidence synthesis projects.
