Dear ESMIG,
For those of you who don't know me, I'm a social sciences librarian and member of our Advanced Reviews Advisory Board at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. As of this month, I've moved into the convener role for the ESMIG, and feel fortunate to do so with the continued guidance and support of past convener, Amy Riegelman. Amy is always so generous in sharing her time and expertise with the group, and I'm grateful to continue learning from her.
Elizabeth Kline, an evidence synthesis librarian at the University of Arizona, has joined us as our incoming convener! Elizabeth brings a strong background and passion for evidence synthesis work, and I'm thrilled to collaborate with her.
Elizabeth and I are currently planning meeting topics for the upcoming year, and we'd love your input. If you have ideas for journal club readings, discussion topics, tools to demo, or anything else of interest to the group-please respond here or reach out to us – edefrain2@unl.edu and klinee@arizona.edu.
Apologies for any confusion caused by the Zoom link issue before yesterday's presentation. Many thanks to Amy for sharing her experience participating as one of the 27 international methodological experts in the TARCiS study group. If you missed it, you can read more about the study here: https://doi.org/10.1136/bmj-2023-078384.
Looking forward to another great year of learning and connection together!
Warmly,
Erica (& Elizabeth)
