    Hi, everyone!

I'm your ACRL Board Liaison, and I'm reaching out to you all in advance of the ACRL Board meeting on January 26, 2024.  I believe that you (or at least the committee chair and co-chair) should have received a message via Connect with information about the meeting and how to bring information/action items to the ACRL Board.  I'll paste that information below.  Please let me know when you schedule your next meeting, and I'll try to attend.  I look forward to working with you all this year!

    Best,
    Kara

    Dear ACRL Leaders,

The ACRL Board of Directors will be meeting virtually in January 2024, and the Board welcomes agenda requests for action and discussion from ACRL membership groups and members.

All meetings of the Board are open, except when discussions affecting the privacy of individuals, institutions, or the association are held. Agendas and documents are posted approximately one week in advance of a meeting to the ACRL Public Community Board of Directors. Any member is welcome to join this community to stay apprised of ACRL governance activities.

Please see the following instructions if you would like to submit a Board request for the upcoming January meetings. If you are unable to submit by the deadline, the Board welcomes requests throughout the year and can take action asynchronously.

    Board Document Submissions & Requests
To submit a document (e.g., petition to establish a new ACRL unit, funding request, resolution, task force report, etc.) for Board consideration, please follow the below steps.

    1. Complete a Board of Directors action form or discussion form working with your ACRL staff and Board liaisons. Requests for supplemental funding should comply with ACRL Policies and Procedures.
    2. Email your Board action form and supporting documents to apayne@ala.org and email a copy to your ACRL staff and Board liaisons.
    3. The Board welcomes action requests throughout the year, but for consideration at the upcoming January Board meetings, please submit by January 12, 2024.

If you have any questions about the upcoming ACRL governance meetings or submitting a request for the ACRL Board of Directors, please do not hesitate to reach out to ACRL Interim Executive Director Allison Payne, apayne@ala.org, or your Board and staff liaisons.

    Best,
    Elois
