    More about the database

Developed with guidance from Asian American scholars and historians, The Asian American Experience database applies a critical lens to the study of U.S. history, exploring the social, political, and economic forces that have shaped the experiences of Asian Americans in distinct historical eras. The database's interdisciplinary approach to history, emphasizes the importance of considering unique stories of Asian Americans to fully understand history.

With a library of more than 2,000 primary and secondary sources, this dynamic digital resource brings depth and breadth of coverage to topics of critical interest to cultural and ethnic studies researchers. Embedded research tools and data visualization tools allow for the analysis and comparison of trends across space and time.
