FINAL REMINDER: Please consider taking our survey if you have not already. Thank you!

    Good afternoon!

We hope you will choose to participate in our study regarding academic libraries and government information. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. You may also opt into a drawing to win one of three gift cards as an additional incentive. We apologize for any cross posting, but please forward this on to anyone else who may be interested.

During the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic in the US, the Executive Branch contributed to an infodemic by rejecting medical and public health expertise, editing or withholding medical reports, and casting blame on the international community. Public confusion and frustration grew when the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published guidelines, rescinded them, and then published conflicting information.

Student and faculty researchers have long relied on federal government documents as a valuable source, and this shift in public perception may affect both how information professionals and researchers interact with government resources. We hope to learn more about any changes that have occurred since February of 2020.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the researchers with the University at Albany.
    Thank you!
