    Hello Dr. Kotter,

     I'm reaching out to you as a fellow librarian and member of AAA. I recently joined AAA because I'm partnering with my former undergraduate mentor, Dr. George Bey at Millsaps College, to build a research library at his archaeological site in the Yucatan, Mexico. (Note: my university is not involved in this endeavor. I'm doing it as a volunteer.) It's wonderful to be back in this field.

     I have two questions for you:

    1. Do you think it would be beneficial for there to be some type of informal librarian group within AAA? If so, would you be interested in participating?
    2. Do you have any tips/advice for seeking grant funding for library materials, such as digital repository, etc? The physical building is built, I now have to turn it into a research library.

     I've spent my 15-yr career thus far in the medical and health sciences libraries, so I have a bit of a learning curve with this endeavor. Any information/advice you can provide is appreciated.
