    Hi All,

Eric and I have been chatting a bit--truth be told, there's not a lot to do on this group--we send out a call for current topics, we choose someone for facilitation, and we schedule the program room and help host the discussion at the conference.

We have been considering adding an online component after Annual--marketed as a follow up to the in-person discussion for folks who missed the discussion, or want to talk about whatever topic it is in greater depth.

We'll keep you all in the loop, and as there are to-dos, we'll ask for volunteers!

I will be at the ULS All Committees Meeting in Chicago, Saturday, from 10:30-11:30 in the Sheraton. Feel free to stop by and say hello--I also co-chair the ULS Academic Outreach Committee so will be busy with that for the most part, but if there are a few of us CTDG folks we can at least touch base for a few minutes!

    Hi All--

As you may have seen, Eric and I put out the call for proposals, with a deadline of March 27th.  I will send out a doodle poll soon to you all if you'd like to be involved in the process of choosing our speaker/facilitator.  Also, note the date for the actual discussion group at ALA--Saturday, June 27, 2:30-4.

    Dear Committee -

In light of a short deadline, Eric and I handled the call, submissions, and just invited the top submission (one of 8) and invited her to lead the discussion. The title of her proposal is "Shrinking Collections to Create User Spaces: Strategies for Communications and Collaboration." The discussion group meets at ALA Annual on Saturday, 6/28 2:30-4. Hope to see you there!

I think we sent a message about this earlier this year, but in case you missed the news, in order to streamline the work of all discussion groups in the ULS, the composition of all DG  committees will be reduced to just two co-conveners after this year.  That said, both Amanda and I will be rolling off of the committee at the end of the year.  If any of you are interested in taking the lead on the ULS DG next year, please let us know.
