Free professional development opportunity offered by the ACRL Education & Behavioral Sciences Section's Scholarly Communications Committee. Registration link below.
Reacting to stories about Artificial Intelligence with fear and concern is understandable. What is harder is anticipating the kinds of situations in which we may find ourselves, as information professionals, in the coming months and years. The EBSS Scholarly Communication Committee would like to provide a space for exploring how we might deal with what comes next.
Join us on May 8, 2024 from 1:00-2:00PM (Central) for our water cooler event: Robo-Schol: The Future of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Scholarly Communication. Help us work through the implications and potential impacts of AI on scholarly communication in the library world. Speak with others about what support on your campus could better prepare you. Share how you are considering or have already integrated AI into your professional life.
Have questions or discussion topics you'd like to submit in advance of the event to help guide the conversation? Please contact Dana L. Hettich (dhettich@uab.edu) if you'd like to share these.
We hope to see you there. Click on the link below to register. This event will not be recorded to allow for free discussion.
