The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago has posted a position for a library manager. The Fed libraries are terrific-a mix of academic and government style work. Here's the blurb about the job:
The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago seeks a manager of its newly constituted Research Library. The Research Library's primary goal is to support the research needs of the Bank's economists and other professional staff. You will bring expertise and creativity in guiding a staff specialized in supporting quantitative analysis, data acquisition, data management, and other aspects of data-intensive research. Key opportunities of this position include developing the library's strategic direction, hiring Library staff, contributing to the development and delivery of services that support data analysis, and collaborating with economists and other professionals in the Bank's Research and Community Development and Policy Studies groups. This role will have direct reports.
I love working at a Federal Reserve Bank. The Reserve Banks are innovative places that do important work. I hope you consider applying and also forward this to folks you think would be great candidates.
Please let me know if you have any questions about my experience at the St. Louis Fed or any other questions.
Warm regards,
Katrina
