Suggestions for indexing study subjects

  • 1.  Suggestions for indexing study subjects

    Posted Aug 25, 2021 10:29 AM

I am undertaking a study on journal/document/webpage  indexing as a professional activity.  The study has a historical component on the history of indexing and a sociological one on theories of professionalization. I am preparing two surveys, one for those who index for salary and another for those index voluntarily.   At present I am primarily trying to locate organizations or websites where such voluntary indexing is done which can be contacted to distribute the survey. I don't mean thesaurus building websites such as Homosaurus but rather places where actual indexing is carried out. Anyone with suggestions can contact me at david.woolwine@hofstra.edu.

    Thank you in advance.
