I'm currently serving as Dean of the Paul Meek Library at the University of Tennessee at Martin. I received my MSLS and graduate archival training at Wayne State University and my early career involved academic archivist positions at Indiana University South Bend and Michigan Technological University. Over the last 10 years, I've advanced through leadership roles in academic libraries and nonprofit cultural organizations. Following two years as executive director the Michigan Humanities Council, I returned to Wayne State University as director of the Reuther Library and later as Assistant Dean of Libraries. I was also Dean of Libraries at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I completed doctoral work at Michigan Tech which examined the creation and early collecting practice of four archives focusing on records of American business, industry, and technology.
