The mission of the International Relations Round Table is to promote interest in library issues and librarianship worldwide; to help coordinate international activities within ALA, serving as a liaison between the International Relations Committee and those members of the Association interested in international relations; to develop programs and activities which further the international objectives of ALA; and to provide hospitality and information to visitors from abroad.

If you’re attending the ALA Annual Conference in Chicago, please help us staff the International Visitors Center (IVC) during the ALA Annual Conference in Chicago, anytime from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., from Friday, June 26 through Sunday, June 28, and 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., on Monday, June 29.
The IVC is an essential help station for international conference attendees, conveniently located near the registration area in the McCormick Place Convention Center, to help answer questions and provide directions and conference information. Volunteers are supplied with the information and tools needed to make this happen so all you need bring with you is a friendly smile and a desire to help.
