The mission of the International Relations Round Table is to promote interest in library issues and librarianship worldwide; to help coordinate international activities within ALA, serving as a liaison between the International Relations Committee and those members of the Association interested in international relations; to develop programs and activities which further the international objectives of ALA; and to provide hospitality and information to visitors from abroad.

    Speakers: Loida Garcia-Febo is a Puerto Rican American librarian and International Library Consultant expert in library services to diverse populations and human rights. She was President of the American Library Association 2018-2019. Garcia-Febo is known worldwide for her passion on diversity, communities, sustainability, innovation and digital transformation, library workers, library advocacy, wellness for library workers, and new librarians about which she has taught in 44 countries. Through her work, she helps libraries, companies and organizations strategize programs, services and strategies in areas related to these topics and many others. Garcia-Febo has a Bachelor's in Business Education and a Master's in Library and Information Sciences. 

    Delin Guerrais the Program Manager in the ALA International Relations Office. Delin leads promotion, recruitment, and support for international librarians attending ALA Conferences, book fairs, and other events planned and coordinated by IRO. As the staff liaison to the International Relations Round Table (IRRT), she supports activities and projects, which includes webinars, programming, poster sessions, and receptions taking place at ALA Annual conference.

    Moderator: Carol Breycurrently the Director of the Quality-of-Life Department for the City of Las Cruces, New Mexico, she previously served as a Foreign Service Officer for the U.S. State Department, serving overseas and in Washington. She is a past president (2004-2005) of the American Library Association and Chair-Elect of the International Relations Round Table (IRRT), ALA. She holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois as well as a Bachelor's degree in Music from Illinois State University.
