The mission of the International Relations Round Table is to promote interest in library issues and librarianship worldwide; to help coordinate international activities within ALA, serving as a liaison between the International Relations Committee and those members of the Association interested in international relations; to develop programs and activities which further the international objectives of ALA; and to provide hospitality and information to visitors from abroad.

    Join SCIRRT this Friday at 12 PM for our last event of the Spring Semester!

    Libraries in Rwanda: Working with SOLA and school libraries
    Zoom | April 14th at 12 PM EST

    Professor Lisa Hussey will talk about her recent time working with the SOLA school in Kigali, Rwanda. During a 5-week stay, she worked to organize the collection, create an online inventory, and teach the students about information and online searching. SOLA is a boarding school for Afghan girls that moved to Kigali after the Taliban took power in Afghanistan.
