Dear All,
This webinar, hosted by IFLA's
Science and Technology Libraries Section, offers a practical look at how libraries are engaging with
climate education and action through
member-driven networks and
national leadership in Canada. All are welcome to join for free.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Identify two complementary approaches to climate action in libraries – member-driven communities of practice and national coordination – and understand how each supports engagement at different scales.
- Apply practical examples and frameworks from Canadian library associations to their own context, regardless of association size, or available resources.
- Recognize existing programs, partnerships, and services within their library association that can be strengthened or reframed as part of the climate education and action.
Takeaways
- What’s one small step your library or association could take tomorrow?
- Where are your natural partners – inside or outside your organization – for climate-related work?
- What are we already doing that could be strengthened, reframed or connected to climate work?
