The mission of the International Relations Round Table is to promote interest in library issues and librarianship worldwide; to help coordinate international activities within ALA, serving as a liaison between the International Relations Committee and those members of the Association interested in international relations; to develop programs and activities which further the international objectives of ALA; and to provide hospitality and information to visitors from abroad.

    Hi IRRT colleagues--

    I thought some of you might be interested in this upcoming opportunity from Stanford Global Studies Global Educators Network. The inquiry meetup presenters focus on global studies programs in community colleges, but all educators are welcome, including library professionals from other library types.

    • When: Fri January 27th 2023, 4:00 - 5:00pm Pacific
    • Where: Zoom - Registration is required
    The Global Educators Network (GEN) will host an Educators Inquiry Meetup on the following inquiry question: what challenges and opportunities do community college educators face in launching and sustaining global studies programs? Ideas to explore include:
    • Building a global studies curriculum
    • Navigating curriculum and articulation issues
    • Building student and faculty community
    • The changing landscape of global studies programs nationally
