The IRRT Membership Recruitment and Engagement Committee has launched a grant initiative: the 2026 Breaking Barriers Award: Engaging Emerging LIS Leaders from Low- and Middle-Income Countries. This program aims to support library and information professionals in countries where ALA membership fees may be prohibitive by funding one year of membership, with the potential for renewal. Applications are due by February 28, 2026, and should be submitted via email to intl@ala.org.
