    Hello all!

My name is Anna Marie Schuldt! I am the Chair of the Student Chapter of the ALA International Relations Round Table (SCIRRT) at Simmons University. We are in the process of developing virtual programming for the SLIS students related to international relations and are looking for potential speakers. One of the topics students seem most interested in is working abroad, so we are hoping to put together a panel of individuals to speak on their experience finding employment and working abroad. Our hope is to highlight a variety of different perspectives to inform students what the process and life are like! I will include program details below for everyone to get an idea of what we're thinking as far as structure goes.

When: Early December (day TBD); 6 PM EST
    Where: Zoom
What: A panel of three individuals discussing working as a librarian, archivist, or any sort of information professional abroad.
Format: Each panelist will have 10 minutes to discuss their background (education, job-seeking process, your position abroad, and what it's like!). There will be 20 minutes for discussion. We will have a few questions prepared for the discussion and will allow students to enter questions in the chat for a structured Q&A session.

If you are interested in participating in this session (or perhaps future sessions!) please email me at anna.schuldt@simmons.edu or comment on this post!
