Call for Short Papers: International Views on Banned Books

  • 1.  Call for Short Papers: International Views on Banned Books

    Posted Aug 04, 2023 04:10 PM

IFLA's Libraries for Children & Young Adults Section is planning a special edition newsletter to coincide with Banned Books Week (October 1-7, 2023). We are looking for short papers, up to 1,000 words (with 1-3 pictures please), on anything related to intellectual freedom and censorship in your country. Perhaps you are organizing a display of banned books in your library? Perhaps you are hosting a banned books reading event? Something else? Because time is short, we would like to have a title, short (no more than 100 word) description of your paper, as well as a short author bio no later than August 14th. Please send your title, description, and author bio to maria.alexiussion@gislaved.se, mmarten3@kent.edu, and sarah.evans@unt.edu. If accepted, your article will be due September 7th.
