    Greetings!

The International Relations Round Table (IRRT) International Papers and Projects Committee of the American Library Association (ALA) is seeking proposals for its 2025 ALA Annual Conference Session, "Stronger Together Through Connections Worldwide: International Collaborations in Library Services."

This program is a one-hour panel discussion focusing on how libraries around the world are collaborating and connecting on a global scale to expand library and information services across borders by improving, enhancing, strengthening, and broadening the access, discovery, and sharing of library collections, resources, tools, and materials in a joint effort to meet the information needs of users, educators, and library workers. Panelists will share their experiences in building partnerships, the challenges and successes in expanding services, and the mutual benefits of international collaboration.

We are especially interested in proposals on:

    • Shared cataloging services and discovery tools
    • Interlibrary loan and document delivery
    • Shared collections and acquisition of materials
    • Collaboration on library programming and community outreach
    • Collaboration in reference services and library instruction
    • Collaboration in staff training and professional development
    • Collaboration in adoption and expansion of library technology and automation

Panelists will each have 10-15 minutes to share their stories. There will be time at the end of the panel discussion for questions and comments from the audience.

Proposals should be between 250 and 300 words; and include your name, email address, institution/affiliation, job title, and a 3–4-line biography. Proposals should be submitted via the proposal form.

Proposal Deadline: Friday, February 21, 2025

Notification of Acceptance: March 14, 2025
