Dear IRRT Members,
As you will have seen from last week's message, we have some fantastic programming scheduled for the ALA Annual Conference in celebration of our 75th anniversary. With this message we would like to announce another major initiative to mark this milestone:
At this year's ALA Annual Conference IRRT will be launching a new fundraising campaign in honor of the Round Table's 75 years and you can help us get an early start!
This campaign aims to raise $75,000 and establish a new IRRT endowment that will provide funds each year for two LIS student engagement travel grants. Once funded, the new annual grants will be available to help offset travel costs for two LIS students (one international, and one domestic) to attend the ALA Annual Conference and engage with IRRT and the larger association. The goals of this campaign are to strengthen the global library community, help grow IRRT membership by engaging early-career professionals, and to ensure the next generation of librarians is equipped to tackle global challenges.
Although the campaign is being officially launched at ALA Annual in two weeks, we need your help to start the campaign on a successful foundation! You can help us get a head start by making a donation to the campaign early. The donation site and additional information about the campaign can be found at: https://www.ala.org/irrt/irrtcommittees/irrt-endowment-committee
On behalf of the IRRT Executive Committee and the IRRT Endowment and Fundraising Committee, we invite you to join us in celebrating the impact of IRRT and supporting future library professionals! Thank you for your dedication to international librarianship, IRRT, and building a strong profession!

P.S. A huge shout out to the Endowment and Fundraising committee members, Tess Tobin, Julia Gelfand, and Shali Zhang for moving this initiative forward! (please disregard the webpage listing the wrong committee member names as the page reverted during the system transition and is in the process of being edited in coordination with the overall website transition project).
