Dear colleagues,
The International Relations Committee (IRC) Africa sub-committee is pleased to bring you a session at ALA 2024:
Building Partnerships with Communities in Africa: Sister Cities International 500 in 5 years
Sister City International's 500 in 5 initiative has an ambitious goal: connect 500 cities in Africa with other cities in the United States in the next 5 years. Ricki Garrett, Interim President & CEO, Sister Cities International
Janet Lee, librarian, representing Sister Cities Denver, Colorado, and Axum, Ethiopia
Diane Withers, educator, representing Sister Cities La Crosse, Wisconsin, and Kumbo, Cameroon
Moderated by Justine Withers, Electronic Resources Librarian, Western New Mexico University
